Dr. Ganapathy is an emergency room physician with more than 20 years of experience and is board-certified in both internal medicine and emergency medicine. He also received his MBA degree in health from the George Washington University. He graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College in India, where he worked in the Indian Air Force as a physician for five years. During his work with the Indian Air Force, he was responsible for a wide variety of cases, including pregnancy deliveries, pediatrics, geriatric cases, and trauma and medical cases. After working with the Indian Air Force, Dr. Ganapathy completed his residencies and took his board certifications in both internal medicine and emergency medicine in New York.
In 1993, he moved to Hawaii and worked full time as an attending physician in the emergency room at St. Francis Hawaii Medical Center West until its closing in December 2011. He currently works part time at Kuakini and Waianae Comprehensive Hospitals, as well as hospitals in mainland emergency rooms. He is well-qualified and extremely competent in dealing with a wide spectrum of cases in all age groups.
